Patricia "Pat" Wise

Carolyn Patricia “Pat” Wise, 75, of Prosperity, SC peacefully passed away Monday morning, August 28, 2023 at home.

Born on August 7, 1948 in Rock Hill, SC, she was the daughter of the late C.P. And Alma Williams.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Steve Wise; a son, Jamie (Marynell) Wise of Little Mountain; a daughter, Kelly (A.J.) Fowlkes of Prosperity; granddaughters, Kelsey Wise, Ashley Fowlkes and Ellie Grace Fowlkes; grandsons, Liam Fowlkes and Kendrick (Michelle) Wise and their daughter Pat's sweet great granddaughter, Brooklynn Cory Wise. Pat was also survived by a brother, Dean (Beth) Williams of Rock Hill.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Wayne Williams, Vic Williams and Randy Williams and her lifelong best friend, Ellie Felker Halfacre.

Pat was a homemaker and a caretaker for several of the elderly in Prosperity and Newberry community. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always had a smile on her face and joy in her heart. Pat loved to read, work in the yard, clean house, watch old love stories, go see plays and musicals, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family. She loved Jesus and exuded love for others. Pat truly lived a life according to 1 Corinthians 13.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, September 2, 2023, at her home church, Colony Lutheran in Newberry by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Visitation will directly follow in the church fellowship hall.

The family asks that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation, PO Box 151, Drayton, SC 29333, to help give the gift of care to others in need.

The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Carroll Pinner for his loving care of Pat over the years and special thanks to Pat's hospice nurse, Shasta Freeman and CNA Shanae Coates of Agape Care of Greenwood for taking such excellent care of her and the family over the last several months of her life.
