Pauline Berry

Pauline Clopton Berry, 95, of Newberry, widow of Harold Berry, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on August 9, 1918, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late William P. and Bessie Fulmer Clopton. She was retired from Prosperity Manufacturing Company and was a member of Queens Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a daughter JoAnn Benton Moates of Silverstreet; a son, Harold Brooks Berry of Edgefield; a brother Richard A. Clopton of Newberry; grandchildren, Daryl Page, David Russell Moates, Jr., and Larry William Moates; great grandchildren Tiffany LeAnn Meakim, Stephanie Lynn Moates, Justin Lee Moates and April Moates; and great-grandchildren, Haley Moates and Dorie Moates. Mrs. Berry was predeceased by a son, William Benton; sisters, Ovline Gallman and Ajer Mae Gregory; brothers, Talmadge Clopton and David Clopton, and a grandson, Harry Lee Moates.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Queens Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Queens Memorial Presbyterian Church, 46 Queens Loop Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
