Randal Scott Wicker, 57, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at his residence.

Born on February 22, 1962 in Newberry, he was the son of the late Milford and Jolene Abney Wicker. He was predeceased by both maternal and paternal grandparents, Boyd and Mattie Mae Wicker and J.B. and Lillian Abney. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Randal was a long time employee of Georgia Pacific where he worked for 36 years. While there he made a lot of life long friends and was able to make many memories with most of them.

He is survived by his special wife, Sherri Wicker; a daughter, Brandy Wicker; a son, Seth Wicker and his sweet baby Jessica Shealy who was like a daughter; siblings, Alan (Donna) Wicker of Newberry, Linda (Allen) Chapman of Little Mountain and Jamie (Buffy) Wicker of Prosperity; he had many special nieces and nephews, Cody, Dalton, Amanda, Julia, Elizabeth, Jeremy and Robert Lee and a special friend, Billy Dill, who was like a dad.

Funeral services will be held at 4:30 pm Saturday, April 20, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at his residence and will receive friends Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Albert Boland, Willie Buchanan, Rick Hutto, Ty Senn, Frankie Grimsley, Steve Dominick, John Bostic, Chris Long, Jimmy Monts and Allen Longshore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Chapman, Danny Culbreath, Billy Dill, Roger Trammell, Cliff Foster, Chris Ham, Josh Smith, Travis Smith, Ed Nobles, Walter Gray, Mike Baldwiin, Vernon Corley, Kenny Mazza, Jason Wicker, Kenny Page, Ezell Hancock, Anthony Johnson, John Hall, Harry Kinard, Danny Rish, Joey Kitchen, and the past and present employees of the Maintenance Department of Georgia Pacific.

A special thanks is extended to Prisma Hospice, all the friends who supported our family during this time and to a special friend Gina Long for all she has done.
