Ray Mace

Edward Ray Mace, 64, of Prosperity, died Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 26, 1957, in Cherokee County, he was a son of the late Charles Ray Mace and Elizabeth Ragsdale Wessinger. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Prosperity Wildlife Federation.

Mr. Mace is survived by his wife, Faye Martin Mace; sons, Jacob Mace (Amanda) of Gilbert and Matthew Mace (Ashleah) of Prosperity; daughters, Ashley Mace (Joe) of Irmo and Crystal Arndt (Judge) of Lexington; sister, Nancy Sanders (Raymond) Prosperity; brothers, Charles Mace (Cindy) and Lewis Mace both of Prosperity; nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was predeceased by his step-father, Jacob Frank Wessinger.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to McSwain-Evans Funeral Home, 1724 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108, to help defray funeral expenses
