Raymond L. Suit

Raymond “Ray” Suit, 93, of Greenville, SC, devoted husband of predeceased Helen Suit of 64 years, passed peacefully on September 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Ray was born on November 20, 1929 in Newberry, SC. He was the son of the late Estus and Leila Suit. Ray graduated from Newberry High School and then went on to play professional baseball where he was an outstanding pitcher. He was a top sales person at Southern Foods followed by Pearce-Young-Angel where he was awarded several awards for his achievements in sales. He retired from PYA and was a member of Laurel Baptist Church. He enjoyed sports, traveling with his late wife, and being with family.

He is survived by daughters, Vicki Gianoli of The Villages, Florida, and Terri Eisenhauer of Flat Rock, NC; a son, Michael Suit of Greenville, SC; grandchildren Greg Gianoli, Ashley Eisenhauer, John (Ashley) Suit, Allyson Suit, and David Suit; and great grandchildren, Jackson, Katie, and Carter Gianoli, Will and Sam Suit.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry, SC by Pastor Mark Evans.
