Renee Bedenbaugh Chapman

Renee Rae Bedenbaugh Chapman, 49, of Newberry, died Saturday, May 17, 2025 at her residence.

Born on January 7, 1976 in Columbia, she was the daughter of Mary Eva Doolittle Bedenbaugh and the late Jesse Carroll Bedenbaugh. Renee was a Physical Therapist Assistant with Amedisys. She was a member of Bush River Baptist Church where she was the former church treasurer. She was a former member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Youth leader for many years. Renee was a long time camper, site leader, and former assistant director of Salkehatehie Summer Service. She loved spending time at the beach and being with friends and family. She enjoyed crafting and embroidery and monogrammed everything. Renee loved the Atlanta Braves and especially enjoyed watching her son, Jesse play baseball.

In addition to her mother, Mary Eva Bedenbaugh of Pomaria, Renee is survived by her husband, William C. Chapman; her son, Jesse Christopher Routon of Newberry; step-daughters, Hannah Grace Chapman and Ali Elizabeth Chapman both of Newberry; her brother, Jason Carroll Bedenbaugh and his wife, Renee of Greer; a nephew, Logan Bedenbaugh and nieces, Leah Bedenbaugh and Charlotte Chapman.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Bush River Baptist Church by the Rev. Jeff Payne. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the Newberry High School Baseball program, 3113 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
