Reverend Wallace B. Ruff

The Reverend Wallace B. Ruff, 77, of Pomaria, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at his residence.

Born on December 20, 1934, in Newberry, he was a son of the late J. Nolan, Ruff Sr. and Pearl Boozer Ruff. Rev. Ruff was a 1977 graduate of Bob Jones University and a retired Baptist Pastor.

He is survived by his wife, Renitia Rawls Ruff; daughters, Jan (Barney) Godfrey of Pickens and Lydia (Randy) Cameron of Arnold, CA; sisters, Annelle Lake of Newberry and Etta Rae Weaver of Sylvania, GA; grandchildren, Lydia (Rickey) Buchanan, Daniel (Megan) Cameron, Michael Timmons (Callie) and Aaron Cameron; a great-grandson, Rickey Lee Buchanan III; a sister-in-law, Hazel (Mac) Dominick of West Columbia; nieces and nephews and a neighbor and special friend, Raymond Smith. Rev. Ruff was predeceased by a sister, Elizbeth Sease and brothers, Earl Ruff, Nolan Ruff, Jr. and Murray Ruff.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Howard Vinson and Rev. David Clark. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
