Richard Hartman

Charles Richard Hartman, 64, of Prosperity, died Monday, June 27, 2011, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on January 12, 1947, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Ellen Lee Hartman. Mr. Hartman was retired from Coca Cola Consolidated after forty-four years. He was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Merchant Hartman; a son, Charles Barry (Wanda) Hartman of Prosperity; a sister, Judith H. (James) Davis of Little Mountain; step-mother, Faye E. Hartman of Prosperity; granddaughter, Meghan Lindsay Hartman; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Lealon) Amick and Donna (Mike) Hall; nieces and nephews including, Lisa D.Yarborough and great-nieces and nephews including, Leah Michelle Yarborough.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. Eric Fink. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund or Campership Fund, PO Box 188, Prosperity, SC 29127.
