Robert Charles Carruthers, 67, of Chappells, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Palmetto Health Richland.
Born on December 5, 1947, in California, he was a son of the late Louise Houston. A proud accomplishment for Mr. Carruthers was his service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter.
He is survived by daughters, Stephanie Brooks of Pomaria, Sebrina (Hiro) Shimoda of Chappells and Samantha Nobles of Anderson; a step-daughter, Stacy Graham of Whitmire; niece and nephews, Tina Gennari, Malcolm Ridener and Robert Ridener and nine grandchildren.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
