Robert Carter

Robert Alan Carter, 63, of Laurens, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at his home.

Born on July 13, 1960, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was a son of Andrew Garland and Wanda Lee Carter. He worked for 34 years with GE Gas and Turbine as a mechanic.

Bob is survived by his wife, Angela Alvarez Carter; his parents, Andrew and Wanda Carter of Beaufort; daughters, Tina Spires (T.C.) of Pomaria and Katherine Carter (Kenny) of Newberry; step son, Richard and step daughter, Valarie; a brother, Curtis Lee Carter of Alabaster, AL; grandchildren, Natalee, Cromer, Jr., Megan, Nathaniel, Donovan, Khia, and Adam Carter arriving soon.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Charlie Clinton. Memorials may be made sent to help defray funeral expenses at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home, 1724 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108 or online
