Robert Lee Lindler, 90, of Little Mountain, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Silver Bluff Village in Canton, NC.
Born on February 10, 1935, in Little Mountain, he was a son of the late Heber and Stella Amick Lindler. He was a graduate of Little Mountain High School and retired from the South Carolina National Guard. Mr. Lindler was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and was a Mason. He and his brother, Jerry, enjoyed the mountains of Maggie Valley, NC where they counted North Carolina as home for a portion of each year for the past 30 years.
He is survived by brothers, Jerry Allen Lindler of Little Mountain and James Ray Lindler of Lexington; a sister, Betty Jean (Thomas) Armel of Little Mountain; nieces, Lisa (Rusty) Sipe of Lexington, Jesse Armel (Marc) Patton of Roanoke, VA and Maggie Armel (US Navy Lt. Andrew Luso) of Japan; a great-niece, Lucy Anne Patton. He was predeceased by a nephew, Tommy Armel.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. Steve Counts. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 816 Mt. Tabor Road, Little Mountain, SC 29075.
Active pallbearers will be Marty Frick, Mike Langford, Bobby Turner, Art Jayroe, Steve Massingale, and Tom Colson.
