Robert Paul Morris, Sr., 75 of Little Mountain, died Friday, September 19, 2025 at White Oak Manor.
Born on May 21, 1950 in Salisbury, NC, he was a son of the late Robert Alexander and Eula Wooten Morris. He served in the United States Army in the 5th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War. Mr. Morris worked for the Town of Prosperity as an electrician and as a reserve police officer. He later went to work at Shakespeare where he retired . Mr. Morris was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. He was active with the VFW and helped with the Boy Scouts. He loved fishing and collecting and recycling scrap iron. What was most important to him however, was his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his great-great -grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Metts Morris; a daughter, Tina (Paul) Fowler of Pomaria; sons, Calvin(Jenny) Morris of Prosperity and Robert Paul (Janeene Harris) Morris, Jr. of Pomaria; sisters, Dovie Smith of LA and Jimmie Stamper of NC; a brother, Jim Gillispie of NC; grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Andrew, Katie, Jessica, Laurie Ann, and Grey; great-grandchildren, Kayley, C.J., Caleb, Leslie, Leigha, Leighton, Maddaux, Jayden, and Noah; a great-great-grandchild Huntleigh; and nephews, Sherwood and Tim Hunsucker.
He was predeceased by a sister, Peggy Ann Shimault; brothers, Alex Morris and Don Hunsucker; and a great-grandson, Madden Madray.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. Steve Counts. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Little Mountain Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 8, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or to Boy Scout Troop 61.
Active pall bearers will be Grey Morris, Andrew Madray, Ashley Madray, Matthew Frick, C.J. Madray, and Keenan Boland.
