Robert Palmer

Robert Ralph Palmer, 96, of Chapin, widower of Alice Marion Thurston Palmer, died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Generations of Chapin.

Born on October 13, 1916, in OH, he was a son of the late James A. and Myrtle Wirick Palmer. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and was retired form Lapeer County Hospital of Lapeer, MI.

Mr. Palmer is survived by his daughter, Susan (Dan) Spencer of Chapin; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, A. Marilyn Palmer and a son-in-law, Ken Slayton. He was predeceased by sons, James Palmer and Donald Palmer and a daughter, Linda Slayton.

The family suggests that memorials may be given to the Salvation Army, PO Drawer 2786, Columbia, SC 29202.
