Dr. Robert Sylvester

Dr. Robert Emerson Sylvester, 76, of Newberry, passed away at his home on Thursday,  February 29, 2024.

He was born on March 16, 1947 to the late Virginia Stone and Robert Watson Sylvester. Dr. Sylvester graduated from the University of Miami, acquiring a great love for the school. He would go on to receive his Doctorate and begin work as an ER Doctor. Dr. Sylvester  would later open his own Family Practice which he operated for a number of years before returning to the ER. He also had a love of trains, and spent a great deal of time working on his miniature railway model. Dr. Sylvester was a conversationalist, and loved to discuss any and every topic.

Dr. Sylvester is survived by his loving wife, Debra Simpson Sylvester; a sister, Ginny Stone Sylvester and his nephew, B.J. Simpson.
