Robin Moore West, 82, of Newberry, died Monday, July 13, 2026, at Prisma Health Richland.

Born on August 26, 1943, in Newberry, he was a son of the late John Benjamin West and Gertie Wilson West Donald. He operated Robin M. West General Contractors and had been an electrician for 70 years. Robin was a member of Cross Point Church. He was a charter member in 1969 of the Newberry Moose Lodge # 2211 where he held the degree of Fellowship.

He loved fishing, woodworking and horseback riding. One of his greatest joys was helping others.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Key West; daughters, Ginny (Michael) Comer of Gastonia, NC and Ashley Elizabeth Berry of Newberry; sons, Stephen W. Berry of Chapin and Michael (Heather) Berry of Pomaria; grandchildren, David (Marie) Comer, Caroline Comer, Noah Comer, Bram Comer all of Gastonia, NC, Madison (Jesse) Bundrick of Prosperity, Chandler Berry of Chapin, Jimmy (Amber) Berry and John Berry both of Pomaria and Jabari Flemon of Pomaria; great-grandchildren, Luke Bundrick, Sam Bundrick and Sawyer Berry; a brother, Billye (Peggie) West of Newberry; sister-in-law, Jamie West of Elizabeth City, NC and a number of nieces of nephews.

Robin was predeceased by a son, Robert Lee West, step-father, Lake Donald; brothers, Bunny West, Ross West and Dean Davis.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Cross Point Church by the Rev. Jeff O’Dell.

The family will receive friends at Cross Point Church on Saturday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
