Ronnie Heyward Amick, 74, of Prosperity, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at his home.

Ronnie was born on June 18, 1951, and was the son of the late J. Heyward Amick and Gaynell Lake Amick. He was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and furthered his education at Gardner-Webb College, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He worked for the family business, A&L Logging, and later retired from Michelin Tire. He was also a former co-owner of Prosperity Ironworks and Pineywood Auctioneers. Ronnie was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his son, Kris Amick (Kristi); twin daughters, Kimberly Smith and Dixie (Galen) Roche; stepchildren, Ashley Howard (Leon) and Richard Lynn, and their families; and adopted daughter, Natalie Amick. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaylynn Bowers (Caleb), Brantlee Roche, Hannah Chapman, Ali Chapman, Clayton Smith, JT Roche, Laken Michaela Amick and Keagan Heyward Amick; his sister, Patricia Amick; aunt and uncles, Alton Lake and Larry (Emily) Lake; Aunt Martha Amick; special cousin and friend, Derrill Frick; and other extended family members.

Ronnie was predeceased by his wife, Susie Amick; sister, Lisa A. Mowbray; infant granddaughter, Madelyn Smith; and aunt and uncle, John (Bertha) Lake and Ruby Lake.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026,at Zion United Methodist Church in Prosperity, officiated by Reverend Joseph James.

Active pallbearers will be Tony Lake, Kevin Lake, Steven Lake, Stuart Lake, Derrill Frick, Michael Frick, Tim Stockman
