Ruby Lester Gruber

Ruby Lee Lester Gruber, 75, of Newberry, widow of Marion Gruber, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born on September 3, 1938, in Blythewood, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Britton Carroll, Sr. and Ola Mae Bundrick Carroll. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Gruber is survived daughters, Wendy Riley of Newberry and Sandra Lemay of Silverstreet and a brother, Bobby Carroll of West Columbia. She was predeceased by a daughter, Felicia Rawl, sisters, Margaret Carroll and Juanita Herring; brothers, Faye Carroll, Samuel Carroll, Jr., James Carroll and Joe Carroll.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 14, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
