Ruffus Lowman

Ruffus Lewis Lowman, 73, of Newberry, died Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his home.

Born on March 28, 1949, in Valdese, NC, he was the son of the late Ross and Irene Deal Lowman. He was a Navy veteran and retired as an agent with the Woodmen of the World Insurance Company.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah “Sally” Attaway Lowman; daughters, Candice L. (Aaron) Coppock of Lexington and Kelly L. Lowman of Atlanta, GA; grandson, Tyler (Hanna) Sheley of Port St. Lucie, FL; granddaughters, Niki Sheley of Statesboro, GA and Belle Stocker of Newberry.

At his request no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Newberry High School Athletic Trainer – Sports Medicine Program, c/o Caitlin Hart, 3113 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
