Ruth Livingston

Ruth Yarborough Livingston, 77, of Prosperity, widow of Paul Sligh Livingston, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at her residence.

Born on August 2, 1931 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late George and Louise Mack Yarborough. Mrs. Livingston was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Women’s Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her sons, John (Irene) Livingston of Georgetown, Bob (Denise) Livingston of Prosperity, Tim (Lynn) Livingston of Pomaria and Dean Livingston of Newberry; a daughter, Peggy (Jimmy) Corley of Prosperity; grandchildren, Lisa Livingston, Ashley Lindler, Paul Livingston, Stephen Hyler, Amanda Counts, Matthew Livingston, Karen Parker, Crystal Livingston, Stevie Lindler, Dean Livingston, R.J. Livingston, Haley Livingston and William Livingston; six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Livingston was predeceased by a daughter, Paula Lindler and siblings, Evelyn Harmon, George “Junior” Yarborough, James Yarborough and Bo Yarborough.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons.
