Ruth Parker

Ruth B. Parker, 76, of Prosperity, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at her residence.

Born on February 21, 1933 in Asheville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Judson Luther and Mildred Ann Rice Ballard. Mrs. Parker was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Herbert H. Parker; a son, Daniel J. Parker; a daughter, Mitia (George) Osborne of Prosperity; a brother, Howard Niel Ballard of Thomasville, NC; a sister, Mary Geneva Angel McFee of Prosperity; a grandson, Jonathan Koopman of Prosperity and a step-grandson, Teddy Wayne Bonds of Newberry

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Freedom Baptist Church by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe. Memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 2028 Mt. Bethel Garmany Road, Newberry, SC 29108 or to Hospice Care of SC, 600 N. Wheeler Avenue, Prosperity, SC 29127.
