Samuel Nathan Frick, 75, of Chapin, died Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Prisma Health Baptist.
Born on April 3, 1946, in Chapin, he was a son of the late Lonnie Elton and Edna Cannon Frick. He was a US Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Frick retired after 40+ years from SCE&G Parr Plant. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Mr. Frick had a great love for the outdoors where he enjoyed his tractors and farming.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Long Frick; a daughter, Monica F. Collum of Chapin; grandchildren, Briana Collum and Alex Collum and his canine companion, Buddy. Mr. Frick was predeceased by brothers, Lewis Harlan Frick, Ubric Elton Frick and Tommy Jason Frick.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. David Tholstrup. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Frick will be available for viewing on Wednesday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral home and also at the graveside at 2:30 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 900 Dreher Island Road, Chapin, SC 29036.
Active pallbearers will be Harlan Frick, Rodney Frick, Troy Frick, Eddie Byars, Joe Rauch, Joey Rauch, Corey Long and Brice Cannon.
