Frances Berry

Sara Frances Danielsen Berry, 90, of Newberry, widow of Casper A. Berry, died Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at White Oak Manor.

Born on November 25, 1931, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Nettie Willingham Danielsen.  She lived her entire life in the West End Community and at her death lived only one block from where she was born. She was retired from the Newberry County School District.  Mrs. Berry was a lifelong member of West End Baptist where she had taught Sunday School, was a choir member and helped with the church food pantry. She was a volunteer with the West End Park Big A Club.

Mrs. Berry is survived by her children, Randy (Angela) Berry, Rufus (Frances) Berry, Deanna (Charlie) Suggs, Mark (Teresa) Berry and Timothy (Angie) Berry; a sister, Betty Lou Layton; grandchildren, Kira Summer, Keith Berry, McKenzie Suggs, Hunter Berry, Chase Berry and Brock Berry; great-grandchildren, Caleb Racine, Bonnie Racine, Owen Berry, Sera Summer and Stella Faye Berry and sisters-in-law, Nonie Campbell and Sally Berry.  She was predeceased by siblings, Ned Danielsen, Clara Wertz, Guy Danielsen, Dot Padgett and Jim Danielsen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 10, 2022, at West End Baptist Church by the Rev. Timothy Thompson.  Burial will follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.  Memorials may be made to West End Baptist Church 620 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be sons, grandsons and great-grandsons.
