Shirley P. Corley

Shirley Mae Poag Corley, 72, of Newberry, died Monday, January 27, 2015, at her residence.

Born on April 10, 1942, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Dennon and Louise Trammell Poag. She was a 1961 graduate of Newberry High School and worked in textiles for many years and retired from Pioneer Foods.

Mrs. Corley is survived by her husband, Aubry F. Corley; a son, Vernon (Tracey) Corley of Newberry; a brother, James (Jeanette) Poag of Silverstreet; grandchildren, Brandon (Stephanie) Corley, Brent (Heather) Corley, David Corley and Daniel Corley. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Scott Corley and a sister, Mildred Kinard.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Cross Point Church in Prosperity. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cross Point Church.
