Stevens Johnson

Stevens Lee Johnson, 77, of Newberry, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home.

Born on May 17, 1946, in Newberry, he was the son of the late Minton and Nellie Kinard Johnson. Mr. Johnson served in the S.C. National Guard and worked for American Fiber and Finishing – Oakland Plant. He had attended Cross Point Church.

He lived to hunt and at his passing on Saturday the turkeys in Newberry County breathed a sigh of relief.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Helen Livingston Johnson; a daughter, Stephanie Anne Johnson and grandchildren, Nazhay Cohen and Isaac Rouse. He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Geraldine Johnson.

The family will be at the home where they will receive family and friends.

No services are planned at his time and the family will hold a private interment later.
