Sue Lindler

Sue Halfacre Lindler of Newberry, died Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland.

Born in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Herman Maffett and Elizabeth McIlwain Halfacre. She worked for BellSouth which later became AT&T from which she retired. Mrs. Lindler was a member of Aveleigh Presbyterian Church where she was a former member of the Neil Truesdale Sunday School Class, a Deacon, Elder and church treasurer. She was an honorary life member of the Presbyterian Women.

Mrs. Lindler is survived by her husband, William H. Lindler; a son, John (Cindy) Lindler of Newberry; a daughter, Beth (Stephen) Stickler of Oak Ridge, NC and grandchildren, Erin Stickler, Conner Stickler, William Stickler, Rhett Lindler and Reid Lindler.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, February 8, 2021, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dr. Mitch VanMetre. Memorials may be made to Aveleigh Presbyterian Church, 1211 Calhoun Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

Due to COVID 19 everyone is reminded of social distancing requirements and masks are encouraged. For those who would like to remain in their cars during the service the family will have a drive-by greeting of friends following the service.
