T. Newton Lollis

T. Newton Lollis, 78, of Prosperity, died Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 23, 1930 in Greenville, he was a son of the late Harrison J. and Nora Bell Kinard Lollis. He was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church and also attended Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Lollis is survived by his brother, David Lollis of Prosperity and nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by brothers, Herbert John Lollis and James H. Lollis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2009 at Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Floyd Sides and Rev. James Shealy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church, cemetery fund, 3074 Bachman Chapel Road, Prosperity, SC 29127, or to a charity of one’s choice.
