Thaddeus Leroy McEntire, 83, of Newberry, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on February 18, 1942, in Lexington, he was the only child of the late Harvey Eldon and Mattie Katherine Koon Shealy. He worked for Torrington of Clinton and later worked as an industrial electrician.

He retired in 1981 after twenty-two years with the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer as a hospital corpsman.

Mr. McEntire is survived by his sons, Mark Anthony (Sherry Louann) McEntire of Newberry and Timothy Jerome McEntire of Laurens; a daughter, Angelina Lorraine McEntire of Laurens; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
