Thomas Jenkins

Thomas Graham, “T.J.” Jenkins, Jr., 50, of Chappells, widower of Josephine Taylor Jenkins, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at his residence.

Born on November 19, 1960, in Newberry, he was a son of Ida Mae Robbs Jenkins and the late Thomas Graham Jenkins, Sr. He was a long time employee of Mt. Bethel Garmany Logging and a member of the Chappells Fire and Rescue.

Mr. Jenkins is survived in addition to his mother by sons, James Jenkins, Jack Edgins, Jr. and William Newman, Jr.; a daughter, Billie Jo Edgins; sisters, Audrey (Manford) Gilbert, Bonnie (Roger) Ray, Janet (Jim) Neeson, Joyce Lance, Carol Jenkins and Linda Taylor; a brother, Johnny (Fonda) Jenkins; grandchildren, Hollie Smith, Billy Jack Edgins, Kristen Edgins, Eliza Edgins and Aiden Jenkins; five great-grandchildren; 12 nieces including a special niece, Margaret Jenkins and 4 nephews. He was predeceased by a niece, Linda Nelson.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Chappells Fire Department. Memorials may be made to the Chappells Fire Departement.
