Thomas Cromwell Shealy, 81, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at his residence.
Born on August 2, 1940, he was the son of the late Callie Lever and Pansy Wilson Shealy. He was a graduate of Newberry High School and was employed by the Kendall Company and American Fiber and Finishing. He worked there for 40 years.
Thomas was an Amateur Radio Operator (WA4VYS) and spent many enjoyable hours on the radio.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jewell Shealy; daughters, Angela (George) Lemacks of Little Mountain, Susan (Nate) Rish of Edisto Island, SC and Elizabeth Martin Carpenter of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, John (Dominique) Lemacks, Zach Rish, Clyde Carpenter, Cole Carpenter, George (Danielle) Lemacks III, Kristen (Chris) Salisbury, Mandy Lemacks and West (Maise) Lemacks and several great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda (Henry) Wicker of Newberry and members of the Fulmer family.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Nancy Fulmer Shealy and a son, James Martin.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 19, 2021, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by Rev. Rich Johnston. Memorials may be made to the Newberry County Council on Aging, 1300 Hunt Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
