Tressie Boland

Tressie Lillian Cromer Boland, 63, of Prosperity, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on July 28, 1945 in Newberry, she was a daughter of Mary Shealy Cromer and the late Thomas Hayne Cromer. Mrs. Boland was retired from the State Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist. She was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the Fun Seekers Camp Club.

Surviving in addition to her mother, Mary Cromer of Prosperity are her husband, Harvey Boland; a son, Scott (Julie) Boland of Prosperity; a daughter, Michelle Wagner of Prosperity; a sister, Emily (Lee) Sitnik of Irmo; grandchildren, Amy Nicole Wagner, Brandon Boland and Mikey Wagner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Paul Wollner. Entombment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o Helen Beebe, 181 Tailers Trail, Leesville, SC 29070.
