Vennie Ruth Graham Rawls, 101, of Pomaria, widow of Houseal McDonald Rawls, died February 14, 2010 at White Oak Manor.

Born in Pomaria on December 22, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Orlander Benjamin and Mattie Lucy Werts Graham. She was retired from Old School Manufacturing and was the oldest member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

She is survived by sons, Sammy Graham Rawls and his wife, Ella Margaret of Pomaria, and Tony Evans Rawls and his wife, Gay of Prosperity; daughters–in-law, Ethel Rawls and Martha Hallbick; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sons, Bobby Rawls and Donald Rawls; daughters, Sadie Evelyn Rawls and Vennie Daphene Aull; two grandsons, Dale Aull and Kenny Rawls; a great-granddaughter, Terri Ruff; sisters, Bertha Mae Richardson, Orlander Bea Graham, Mary Ida Wicker, Iola Lee Graham, and Daisy Marie Bowles; brothers, Willie Edward Graham, John Adam Graham, Claude Talbert Graham, Omerle Werts Graham, Vernon Eddie Graham, and George Roy Graham.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at New Hope United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Goldie and Rev. Randall Derrick. Burial will follow in Graham Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, c/o 331 Holloway Street, Pomaria, SC 29126.

The family would like to thank the staff of White Oak Manor Unit 1 for their care.

Active pall bearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons; Don Rawls, Benji Rawls, Neal Rawls, Brad Ruff, Jason Ruff, Greg Stewart, and Robbie Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of White Oak Manor, Ion Stuck, John Amick, Earl Graham, Jr. and Earl Wicker
