Vera Driggers Wiggers

Vera Dale Driggers Wiggers, 97, of Newberry, widow of Everette Wiggers, died Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Oakland Living Center in Rutherfordton, NC.

Born on May 15, 1925, in Denmark, SC, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Marie Platt Driggers.  She retired as a cafeteria worker from the Newberry County Schools.

Mrs. Wiggers is survived by nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased in addition to her husband by a son, Jerry Wiggers, sisters, Corine Rinehart and Elizabeth Padgett and brothers, Harvey Driggers and Carl Driggers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe.  Private burial will be in Newberry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Newberry Humane Society. PO Box 485, Newberry, SC 29108.
