Violet Kinard Perry, 92, of Newberry, widow of Horace Perry, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Newberry Health.
Born on December 1, 1933, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. “Charlie” and Lizzie Long Kinard. She was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church. Violet was retired from American Fiber and Finishing Oakland Plant with 40 years of service. She enjoyed having conversations with people, cooking and taking trips to Harrah's in Cherokee, NC.
She is survived by sons, Robert Carol (Sherry) Turner of Bowman, Randy (Lonnette) Turner of Newberry and Bobby (Nancy) Turner of Leesville; a daughter, Deborah (Danny) Bradley of Newberry; twelve grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren and a special great-great nephew, Noah Arnold.
Violet was predeceased by six siblings, Mildred Baker, Louise Kinard, Virgil Kinard, Fred Kinard, Heyward Kinard and Thurrel Kinard and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Floyd Sides. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
