William E. Attaway, Sr.

William Eugene Attaway, Sr., 82, of Newberry, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Agape Hospice House.

Born on October 11, 1930, in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Will A. and Azile Wright Attaway. Mr. Attaway was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, was retired from Louis Rich and was of the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by sons, Bill (Lori) Attaway, Jr. of Lexington and William Forrest (Alicia) Attaway of Pomaria; a daughter, Jocelyn (James) Mack of Newberry; a sister, Willie Mae Yonn of Newberry; grandchildren, Jason (Beth) Mack, Kelly Mack, Joshua Attaway and Ashley Attaway and a great-grandson, Bryson Mack. He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.
