William Miller

William Laval Miller, 66, of West Columbia, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on January 4, 1955, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Berley Lee Miller, Sr. and Mildred Johnson Miller. He was a retired project manager for CDA Architects, working previously at Rowel Steel and Kline Iron and Steel. Mr. Miller was a member of Whitmire United Methodist Church, the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Duncan Creek Hunt Club. A true sportsman, William loved hunting, fishing, white-water rafting, and was a Gamecock at heart.

He is survived by a son, William Daniel Miller of Columbia; a sister, Margaret Koon of Lexington; brothers, Berley Miller, Jr. of Prosperity and Lovick “Pete” Miller of Woodruff.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Whitmire United Methodist Church, 401 S. Church Street, Whitmire, SC 29178.
