William "Billy" Dill

William Clair “Billy” Dill, 86, of Prosperity, widower of Pauline King Dill, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Prisma Health Baptist at Parkridge.

Born on March 24, 1933 in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Perry Dill and Mary Hammett Mullinax. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Epting-Ballenger Corporation and Georgia Pacific. Mr. Dill was a member of Enoree Baptist Church, a Mason, a Shriner of the Hejaz Temple.

He is survived by daughters, Debra (Kenny) Bowen of Casar, NC, Rena (Curt) Hollifield of Kings Mountain, NC and Sherry Bedenbaugh of Prosperity; a brother, Donnie Joe (Betty) Dill of Greenville; his dedicated companion, Willie; grandchildren, Billy (Marianna) Bowen, Brantlee Parker, Corie (Aaron) Franklin and Alex Bedenbaugh; great-grandchildren, Zoie Franklin, Kingsley Franklin, Tiffany Nickle, Taylor Hammond, Austin Bowen, Kyler Bowen, Mason Bowen and Amber Stanley and faithful caregiver, Mary Bookman. He was predeceased by grandsons, Ricky Bowen and Will Bedenbaugh and sisters, Louise Dill and Julia Martin .

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Aaron and Corie Franklin, 131 Holly Point Road, Prosperity. Memorials may be made to the Will Power Foundation, 262 Ira Kinard Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Aaron Franklin, Alex Bedenbaugh, Billy Bowen, Sammy Lanford, Kenny Bowen and Marvin King.
