William Storey

William Berle Storey, Sr., 83, of Leesville, widower of Antoinette Cornell Storey, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 15, 1926, in Blowing Rock, NC, he was a son of the late Henry Martin and Hester Anne Triplett Storey. Mr. Storey was a World War II Navy veteran having served in the Sea Bee’s. He was retired from the Florida Power and Light Company after 41 years of service, was a member of Ahoe Baptist Church in Blowing Rock, NC and was member of the IBEW #628.

Surviving are his sons, Rexford Cornell Kaufman of Bell, FL, William Berle (Maureen) Storey, Jr. of Jupiter, FL, and James Henry (Dolly) Storey of Leesville; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Kaufman Taylor of Granite Falls, NC and Anita Marie Storey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a sister, Arlene Smith of Blowing Rock, NC; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
