Willie "Billie" June Peake

Willie (Billie) June Peake, 79, of Newberry, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at home with her family on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Born June 4, 1942 in Camden, SC, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Alvin and Iva Mae Baker Young.

She is survived by her husband, James Thomas Peake, sisters Dianne Brissey (Charlie), Barbara Myers (Charles) and Sandra Gwin (Rick), children, Loretta Peake Newton (Larry), Donna Banks, James Daniel Peake and John Thomas Peake, grandchildren (5), great grandchildren (6).

June enjoyed gardening, reading and was a teacher and student of piano. She was a member of Aveleigh Presbyterian, where her faithful service to Christ was obvious to all who knew her. She was a devoted wife and mother and cherished by her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Aveleigh Presbyterian on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 am, with a graveside service at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church in Ridgeway at 3:00 pm
