Sending sincere sympathy in the passing of ‘Mot’. She was a definite cornerstone at the Newberry Opera House. She ran a tight ship & produced ambassadors that added to the success of the NOH. RIP Ms ‘Mot’ … you will be missed by many in Newberry.

As I write this, with a sad heart, there are no words to properly describe Mot. I met Mot when, to my delight, she was my kindergarten teacher. Along with a few other friends I worked with & became friends with Mot at the Newberry Opera House. She enjoyed the arts & working with people so coordinating the volunteer ambassador program was the perfect position. She dedicated countless hours to making sure that every show had ambassadors to assist guest. She absolutely adored her family. Thank you to Bryan, Briley & Erin for sharing your mom and grandmother with all of us. Even with the knowledge of her diagnosis it does not make saying goodbye easier. Sending many heartfelt condolences to the family. With Love, Donna Morris

Bryan,
So sorry to hear about your mother's passing. She was a special lady. I still have the red, white and blue blanket and hat that she knitted for my "bicentennial baby" Charlie in 1976. May God's peace surround and comfort you and your family in the days to come. Mandy Randall

Mrs. Derrick gave me wise words regarding my daughter's education that I always heeded. That advice made me a better mother and I will always remember and appreciate it.

Mot and I shared soo many life events. I can’t thank her enough for all the help she gave me with all her advice. She will always be remembered for helping me raise me son at Newberry Academy and then in later years, her wise words of wisdom at the nail salon. I appreciate this angel who has gone before us. My sincere sympathy to all the family. God bless you all.

Bryan, Ed and I were talking yesterday about our neighborhood and the first three families to build homes here: Browns, Derricks and us (Kyzers). We talked about the days when you and Clarke used to play in the woods where houses now stand. We have such good memories of those days, you and your parents. We treasure those memories. We were fortunate to have your family as neighbors. Although we had not seen your mom in some time, we thought of her often. The days ahead will be difficult especially with you being an only child, but your faith and God will see you through. Our love, sympathy and prayers are with you. The Kyzers
