Bonnie Elizabeth Adams began her life in Aiken, SC on October 9, 1952 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Adams (Margaret Cook Nichols Adams). After the passing of her mother, she was reared in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin C. Adams (Rena). She earned her degree as a surgical technician at Anderson College and went straight into the workforce at Newberry Memorial Hospital. She then moved to Columbia, SC where she was a regional manager over five states for the American Red Cross Tissue Services. Bonnie was an employee of the Newberry Opera House at the time of her passing where she enjoyed her job and all of her co-workers and acquaintances. Bonnie loved all of God's creatures small and large. She revered her eight cats and four dogs with love and compassion.

With her time ending on this earth on September 13, 2015, she fought her short battle of lung cancer with hope, courage and dignity.

Bonnie is survived by her sisters, including her twin sister, Connie A. Rayfield of the home, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ruff (sister, Marcia A. Ruff)of Newberry, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hall (sister, Dianne N. Hall) of West Columbia; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Adams (sister-in-law, Janie Adams) of Chapin and Wendell G. Adams of Newberry;a very special first cousin, Robert E. Adams (wife, Rhonda) of Lugoff. Bonnie was a nurturing aunt to her many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephew. She leaves behind a cousin, Willie Lee Ringer II and Shirley D. Mitchell and many cousins of Adams Fish Camp in Prosperity.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Lewis Memorial United Methodist 1105 First Street, Newberry, SC 29108, Newberry Opera House, 1201 McKibben Street, Newberry, SC 29108 or a Kill Free Animal Shelter of your choice.

Dear Connie and Family - I was deeply saddened to hear of Bonnie's passing. I have been thinking of Bonnie for years, but we lost touch, after working together for the American Red Cross Tissue Services and me being deployed with the military. I miss all of our wonderful conversations and her advice. Many prayers for you and the family. Bonnie was a true treasure and will always be on my mind and in my heart.
Peace and blessings!

It saddened my heart to hear of Bonnie's passing. While working at the Opera House, I really got to know Bonnie and knew her kind heart and love for people and for animals. She had a very giving heart. I will miss her greatly. I will always think of her when I go back to visit the Opera House. She was a big part of all the good memories I had working there. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
