Janie was a precious, sweet lady whom I always talking with (and Nina too) at the Adams reunions when I took mother to them. They were first cousins. Mother’s name was Ruth Adams Thomas from Joanna. I’m happy to know we will be reunited one glorious day! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My heartfelt sympathies to Kent and the family of Cousin Janie. I carry with me the childhood pleasant memories of Cousin Janie, Cousin Nina, and Cousin Myrtle visiting my Mama when we lived on Oakland Mill Hill. It was always a joy seeing them. Love yall.

Our Dearest Kent & Amy, we are all so saddened at Mama Janie’s passing, yet rejoicing that she is reunited with Mama and Papa Adam’s, Uncle Frank and all her 4 brothers and 8 sisters! Mama Janie has been my rock and mender of my broken heart so many times as she has for everyone she knew. She loved us all unconditionally , but no one did she love more than her son Kent and Kent’s precious daughter Amy. She loved being Amy’s grandmother. Always so proud of her. We thank two other angels for the love and care they gave Mama Janie - Dearest Faye Morris and Julie Barnes. May God encircle the two of you with His love until we all meet our Angel Janie Adams Nichols I’m that glory land of Heaven. We love you so dearly Kent & Amy.

Mrs. Janie (and Mr. Frank) were so beloved by my family. They were so kind, and adored their Kent :-)
Even after Mom and Dad (Julia & Bill McSwain) moved to Springfield Place, Mrs. Janie continued to visit when she came to see her sister.
I feel so blessed to know they were part of my family. Sending you prayers of strength and healing.
