My thougths and prayers are with you. I am sorry that I am out of the country indefinetly and could not attend the funeral and speak to you in person. Both your Mom and Dad treated me so well over the years and were dear friends of my Mom and Dad as well. Both of your parents were part of what made Newberry special for so many years. Jimmie,
We have shared a lot over the years but I never dreamed we would be sharing the loss of our mothers on the same day! As I told your sisters at the nursing home when they came by to console me on our loss just after the loss of their own mother, Mrs. Coggins was a beautiful lady inside and out and possessed the most beautiful radio voice I have ever heard! Fond memories always!

Our deepest sympathy to the Coggins family. Mrs. Coggins was truly a lady, a lovely lady, that walked with grace. She was always so nice to our family and me. She is now reunited with Mr. Coggins and I bet they are dancing and having a great time. May she stay in your hearts, minds and dreams as you go through the grieving process. Lee, Carol, Amelia and Joseph.

Donna,
As you know, I knew your wonderful mother when we both served on the Garden Club of SC Board of Directors. (Everyone always listened to what she had to say because of her delightful accent.) Then to my delight your and my daughter met at USC and became good friends and have remained so for many years. You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers.
Love,
Shirley LaGarde
