Andrew Wilson Longshore, 80, of Silverstreet, widower of Betty Jean Floyd Longshore, died Sunday, January 11, 2015.
Born on January 22, 1934, in Newberry County, he was a son of the late Wilmer Wilson and Ovie Puckett Longshore. He was an Army veteran and worked for Sandhill Farms, Ralph Waldrop and Sons Farm and Southern Brick Yard. Mr. Longshore was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Silverstreet Young Farmers.
He is survived by a son, Wilmer Mike Longshore of Silverstreet; daughters, Elaine (Tim) Bouknight of Newberry, Brenda (Jim) Rainey of Easley and Tina (Brandt) Smith of Newberry; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Longshore of Silverstreet; a sister, Elizabeth McKellar of Greenwood; a brother, Roger (Dale) Longshore of Silverstreet; grandchildren, Wesley (Tiffany) Bouknight, Jason (Meagan) Bouknight, Austin (Kristian) Longshore, Janna Longshore, Bradley Graves, Mason Smith, Tommy (Jill) Longshore, and Shanna (Gary) Staten; great-grandchildren, Taylor Longshore and Allie Graves. He was predeceased by a son, Andrew Carroll Longshore and a sister, Janice Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ken Carter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Tri-County Hospice, 13795 C.R. Koon Highway, Newberry, Trinity United Methodist Church, 1167 Trinity Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108 or to the charity of ones choice.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Wesley Bouknight, Jason Bouknight, Tommy Longshore, Austin Longshore, Bradley Graves and Mason Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Tri-County Hospice and Dr. Alan Paysinger.
