Lin led his life as the old hymn, "Let Others See Jesus in You." What a wonderful example he has been to me and everyone he knew. I can think of no better legacy!

Lin devoted his life to helping those that many people would think were beyond help or not worth helping. Lin's involvement with Faith Home and his love and concern for the less fortunate have made a positive impact on the hundreds of Faith Home "graduates" and their families. Well done, good and faithful servant. May you rest in peace.

Lin , you have been a neighbor and friend for more than fifty years. It will be sad not to see that smile and have those nice conversations anymore. You made Harper St a street of friendly neighbors just like you. Newberry has lost a fine citizen and a wonderful man.

I am so sorry to read of Lin's passing. His mother taught me in my Sunday School class during my high school years and I knew Lin for many years before I moved from Newberry in the 70s'. He was always friendly and a very jolly person. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Mr. Lin, Please accept my sincere condolences. Lin epitomized the true definition of the word "friend". Many were able to call him friend and they were blessed. I feel that he punched his ticket for a special place in heaven many years ago. Now with Mabel and other loved ones there is no more pain, suffering, or heartache. I know he is smiling down upon us all. Rest in Peace.

Dearest family,, May the dear Lord in heaven wrap His loving arms around you and grant you peace which passeth all understanding. Lin is surely with the Lord and has now been reunited with his loved ones. Lin was like a brother to me for many years with the Gideons and continued with his love to my family during his earthly life.83 years seems like a long time, but is just a vapor compared to eternity with Jesus. we will surely miss Lin, but please know that we love each of you , Jim and Evelyn Chalmers

Lin was a cherished friend and distant kin. I always enjoyed talking to him about our family history. I will miss his phone calls and chats. He was so proud that Molly Spearman,(anoth er kinfolk), had been elected to the State Board of Education. Much love to his family, Donna Hagen

I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in the resurrection promise at John 5:28,29 that reads; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

Cuz, You were one of a kind. You loved everyone, especially Mrs Mabel, Ross, your grandchildren, family and the Lord. You never met a stranger and always loved to spread the word of God. You are now in Heaven where you are with your loved ones that have gone before you and you are whole again. Your work is done and we will miss you....our loss is Heaven's gain. Give everyone up there with you my love!
